Transom rebuild questions?

I am interested in what you guys replace the factory aluminum top cap of your transom with? Mine was damaged when a guy rear-ended my boat with his car and i have to replace the wood and top cap on the transom. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I replaced mine with Alu. Had a sheetmetal shop break it and then I trimmed it to fit at home. Anyplace that does sheetmetal roofing or duct work can do this. I have a sheetmetal shop where I work so it was easy for me, but I am sure you can find a place in your area.

If you fill out your location in the User Control Panel someone might be able to give you the name of a good shop close by.
