I wanted to start this topic with the before pictures. They are still on the camera (daughter took it to the mountains on vacation. After about 5 hours got the old wood out. I was rotten about halfway up. Those rivets are a beast. Drilled out easy and thought this wont be to bad, wrong like to have never got them driven out.
Now is time to finish the cleanup and replace.
I still have not decided how to replace. Can I use aluminum tubing and weld it up and bolt thru it. Or does it really need to be wood. If wood I will have to cut out the corners an weld them back.
Let me know in your opinion what the best method is to fix.
