Transom Work

Today I decided to replace my rotting wood brace on my transom. Lets just say I didn't have to do much to get the old wood off.....and the screws were corroded so they just broke off. The transom had some give to it before but now its rock solid. I used PT 3/4 Ply backed with self-adhesive rubber flashing I had so the ply wouldn't touch the aluminum. I also sealed the ply with water proofer.

Dang, that old wood was about done I'd say. Good thing you replaced it 8)

Yeah, its been that way since I bought the boat last year.....finally got a chance to take care of it. 8)
