trolling motor

I have a G3 1544 jon boat and have been wanting to put a foot controlled trolling motor on the front of it, it has just the regular front deck on it.

If I put a foot controlled motor on it the control is at a weird angle due to the floor sloping down and would not be comfortable at all, It looks as i if I need to raise the middle bench.
Has anyone put a foot controlled motor on the bow without a lot of modification?

I thought about getting a milk crate to set on the bench to sit on but that seems like a accident waiting for a time and place to happen.

I always say that there is nothing level on a boat. Its position is dynamic depending on load distribution. Are you testing with the boat int he water or sitting on the trailer?

You could try a pin/post set up.

Yes the boat is sitting on the trailer, and I don't think I can use a pin pedestal because of the livewell in the bench.

If possible I would put it in the water and see how it feels.
