Whats up everyone. New to this forum, but I have been getting some great information, and ideas from everyone on aluminum boat restoration. I figured I could set a thread up for my project. I just moved back to northern california after finishing college, and figured it was time to get a fishing boat together. My grandpa has had a 13ft Valco boat sitting in his front yard for at least 10years now and needed some major work. All the wood was rotten, so I ripped all that out and plan to build a casting deck for the front. What i need to know now is what size rivets I need to replace the brace that held the transom board in? any info or tips would be greatly appreciated since this is my first boat restoration.

Got the paint sanded down, and primed. Still debating on what to do to the motor with texture or no texture. Also Got the transom, rear, and middle seats cut, stained and installed. Next up is trying to figure out the frame for the casting deck in the front.
