War Eagle Jon Boats

Does anyone have any feedback on war eagle jon boats. I found a 16’ one I might go look at but was curious what their reputation is since I’m not familiar with that brand

War eagles if i am not mistaken, are made in alabama. Several of my friends have them and are very pleased with them. Unless this one is worn out. Look for obvious signs if it has been abused or bent up. I believe they are a quality boat and have a good resale value. Good luck and tight lines.

They are actually made in Arkansas. They were in the top tier of duck/hunting boats prior to everyone going to the trend of the faster Edge, Havoc, etc hulls. Their reputation is tough but heavy, but this is coming from duck guys who only care about speed. A 16' War Eagle is definitely heavier than your standard riveted 16' jon boat but should be tough as nails if it hasn't been abused.

A friend has one, and that is one tough, very solid boat. He has a 115 on the back of his, and it's quite the tank. I'd trade boats with him anytime he wants. But they are very pricey! If you can get one for a reasonable price, get it. Worst case, you can sell it at a profit if you don't like it.

Great products. War Eagle is a product of the third generation of Ward brothers that began Duracraft in the latter part of 1945.

I'm familiar with the older, traditional looking War Eagle jon boats and they are a heavy, tank of a jon boat. I place them in the same category as Alweld, Weld Craft, Express.
