Hi folks, been a bunch of years since I've frequented this site, but figured I'd try here and see if someone in my area (within a couple hours of North-Western Vermont) has outgrown a boat or hasn't gotten around to a build, etc.
I'm looking to purchase a well-used V or semi-v-hull boat, or possibly a Jon, in "well-loved" but reasonably good condition. I don't want a full-on project to get it seaworthy, but am fine with something with good bones but needing minor repair and/or cosmetic work. Depending on what it is, I could be interested with or without trailer and/or engine.
Absolute minimum size would be a wide, true 14'+ boat, 1448-ish or larger. Not really interested in anything bigger than 16'. Deep is good, 20" transom a plus. Open floor plan or a plain bench-seat boat highly preferred, do not want raised decks or a console, etc, as light weight is a concern and really looking to maximize interior space as a plain utility boat.
Not in a hurry, this is a long-term search and I don't see these come up very often around me, so if this ad is still here chances are I'm still looking. I don't visit these forums much so easiest way to reach me is by email: david.furman "at" hotmail.com
Thanks very much in advance!
