Before I changed my throttle cables, the outboard moved forward even while in neutral, that’s what put the whole process in motion:
Outboard moves forward in neutral —> Knew the cables were shot pretty much and confirmed —> I change cables —> Very loud, hard, fast idle on ignition —> Came home checked cables, a bit off, nuts not tightened up to end pieces but otherwise fine.
Any ideas on the extremely fast idle? Before the cables went, I had to put the fast idler up all the way. I’m wondering if there were problems all along.
