Hi guys, I am looking to buy a 1976 16' Lowe line center console I found on craigslist. I have attached the link below. Do you all think this is a good purchase? I have talked to the guy and he is willing to take $2200.00. Thanks.

Hey guys, I was thinking about painting my plywood deck and floor with Tuff Coat. My question is should I still cover the plywood with a few coats of spar urethane or would the two-part primer and the tuff coat be enough to seal the plywood? Thanks.
I have an 86 16' Lowe Big Jon and I was thinking about removing the center seat. My question is, based on the picture below showing the number of ribs, would I have to reinforce the boat or does that look like enough ribs to keep it from too much stress? thanks.
Okay, this is the last time I ask for advise on a boat purchase. I promise...I think I found a great deal this time. The guy said he would take $2000. What do you all think?

^^Exactly what I was thinking. I am going to wait and find the 1648 I want. I have a 1436 to play around with for now anyways...thanks guys for the comments..
I am still on the fence. My reasoning for want the 1648 was to add a side console. I have seen some on here putting a side console on the 1542 but I'm just not sure. What do you all think about adding a side console on a 1542? Any other advice.
Hey guys, I have been looking for a new boat. I wanted a 1648 but i ran across this 1542 on craigslist. I got the guy down to 1800 and I am about to go for it but I really wanted a 1648. I think this is worth it for the motor alone. What do you all think...
I saw this ad on craigslist and got him down to $2000. What do you all think about this boat and price?

I am going to add plywood to my benches and add seats. My question is should I use 1/2" or 3/4" plywood? I want to keep it light but I also want it to be sturdy.
I am looking at buying a 1990 Alumacraft 1436 that I found on craigslist for $550. It is just the boat but looks like it is in pretty good condition. Is this a decent price? Any feedback would help. Thanks.
