Yep, bought a new cap with a screw on top and it was open so the tank could get air while it was running.

Crack the cap open and try it. I don't think the vent is the problem but this way you can be sure. Does the squeeze bulb suck flat when it does this. That will also tell you if it is venting.

I wish the vent cap was the problem however I have tested the cap and it does allow the air to escape. I'm not sure where to go from here. Today I had it out and it ran great at wide open throttle for about 20 minutes then the next time I started and took off at WOT it ran for only about 3 - 4 minutes and it slowed to 1/2 throttle even though it was wide open. So, it is an intermittent problem. Not sure what to do at this point! Don't really feel like taking it to the marina for repair as it is expensive and I feel that I'm pretty close. Any suggestion would help. Thanks

Yes, I believe I cleared both High Speed and Low Speed Jets. Can anyone tell me how to check the coil and power pack to see if they are working properly?

Sounds like you eliminated any fuel issues and you already installed new plugs. Your gonna need a DVM , digital volt meter. Ohm out the plug wires, I think they should read 0.0 , ohm out the coils Both should read the same. I think something like 275 ? or 375 comes to mind. Anyway they should both be the same. As far as the power pack, I don't know. Maybe someone else with more knowledge will chime in. Just hope I'm steering ya in the right direction. And like what was said ,check out Leroy's Ramblings for some really great info. Let us know how it comes out.
