I just bought the boat over the winter and it's a blast, but I found an older Camaro I want to buy so I would need to sell the jet sprint boat. It's a 2001 with a Chevy 350 crate motor with an AT SD-309 jet drive with a Place diverter. I think it has a C impeller in it based on the 4300-4400 rpm speed and the crate motor being around 225 hp. The boat has a couple of dents in the bottom from the original owner I believe but they don't seem to hurt performance or handling too much. If it was a competition boat, you would definitely want to fix them. The paint has some chips in it and the inside of the windshield area is flaking off but it still looks pretty good. I'm located in Ewing, NJ and can demo the boat for anyone local enough. One of the risers still has a very small leak on the outside at the gasket but it has petcocks in the manifolds and risers and I drain it after every run so no water is getting inside. $7300 for the boat and trailer, but I have no paperwork on the trailer because it was homemade. Feel free to ask any questions or shoot me a PM for contact information.

The boat has been sold.

I had the boat towed from OR to NJ over the winter so there are plenty of guys out there willing to transport.

So 3 questions:

What did it cost to transport?

How fast does it go set up currently?

What is the issue with leaky risers? (explain)

thanks

I paid $1200 for transport from OR to NJ so you could probably find someone to do it for $600-800.

I'm not sure what the actual top speed is, the previous owner said he GPS'd it in the low 60 range. The 350 crate motor is very tame but smooth. A cam and some heads could probably get it up to 325-350 hp which should be able to get it into the 70's.

I think the leak at the riser gasket is because the jet cooling setup needs to be modified to dump some of the water like if it had headers. It's set up now to pump everything through the block and then manifolds on out and I think it's too much pressure. Each riser has petcocks on the underside and I might try to put some fittings in with lines to run it out the back to relieve the pressure.

Edit: I removed the petcock on the riser that has the small gasket leak and put in a barbed fitting and ran a 3/16 hose out the back of the boat. It relieved the excess pressure and hot water pumps out constantly. It acts a little like the T-valve on jet boat headers so now the risers don't leak at the gasket. I'll do the same thing to the other riser to help reduce the pressure on that side as well. I've had the boat out 30-40 times already this year and it's so much fun that it would be tough to replace if I can't find a Camaro I like.

The trailer has a spare set of rims/tires with it.

My zip code is 08560 in NJ if that helps with estimates.
