The gears are shredded on my 67 Johnson 20 hp. Bought the motor unseen for 100$. Anyone know where I can get a realiable used lower unit from?

Ebay or craig's list is probably the cheapest places.You maybe able to find gears and seals on ebay and overhaul your lower unit.

I have a few leads here near home. (Central Illinois) Ebay is always a potential bust. What you see is not what you get. If one or both of my leads turns out I'll be sure to post them for future reference by all.
