Hello everyone,

I just purchased a 14' duranautic with a 20hp. Great set up. I need a 9.9 for the lakes, however. What engines do you recommend? I see some 9.9 can be converted to 15hp easily. Thats a huge plus as the duranautic is heavy. Would love to hear opinions to help me choose an outboard. Thank you!

Be careful, the motors also have serial #'s on them that they can go by if you were to get checked. [-X
A 9.9 will be OK on that boat, won't be a speed demon though, but should serve the purpose. I have a 2004 9.9 Johnson that I sometimes use on a 1654 Tracker GRIZZLY, it's a good motor that gets me where I want to go and I can troll with it.
