I'll make a quick report.
Fished today from 11:00 till 4:00pm.
Temp. 70;Sunny and light winds.
There were a few boats already in when I arrived but only had a few hours so decided to fish there anyways.Found out later that they were having alittle tournament, only 7 boats.
I was in a resorvoir and they were letting the water out for some reason.
Fishing was alittle slow not sure why.
Did manage to catch 9 bass and 3 pickeral.2 of the bass were around 2lbs and 1 of the pickeral was over 22 inches.Know pictures of the bass but heres the pickeral.pick..jpg
there was 3 boats at the launch when I was going in,as I was watching I seen the conservation officers pull up.I didn't have my navagation lights aboard so I stayed fishing till I seen them leave, didn't want a fine.I thought forsure the guys at the launch would be getting fined,I know they were drinking, couple of them never even had licences. When I got in they said they didn't get any warnings or anything,1 guy said the officer even picked up the bottle of wine they were drinking put it on the boat and said "better not waste that".Couldn't believe it and here I was thinking I'd get a fine for not having my lights aboard.Hunting is starting up maybe there looking for action there?I was confused, they're normally pretty picky.

Nice report.

I'm fishing, just not catching, so I haven't bothered to report. I haven't been going as often as usual, but the trips have been ending in skunks or a few small fish. Mainly skunks

Sorry to hear about your luck fellas,I'm sure things will pick up.
With all the bodies of water and moderate fishing pressure,I normally don't worry about skunks till late Oct./Nov./Dec.

Forgot to say where I caught that pickeral, which was a little unusual.
I was slow rolling(yoyo ing?)a spinnerbait off a drop off,,,10-18foot,she hit it on the rize.
I was surprized to see a pickeral there,as I landed acouple better bass there but they were on senkos.

Whacked em KY lake 09-11-09... Someday I'll remember to take my camera with me agin... I had a really good day fishing main lake entrance points to Sledge creek ... Started shallow in back of bays no shad or any bait fish it seemed.. did catch couple dinks on worm on crappie beds in 2 to 4 feet of water ... moved to secondary points around boat docks in 6 to 10 feet of water same story couple dinks and did start seeing shad bawls under surface... moved to main lake entrance point and shad everywhere on graph at 6 to 11 feet ... Caught several.. best one 4 range on a red eye sexy shad blue chrome 1/2 oz... lots of yellow strippers mixed in to the bass were letting those lil strippers do the work for them then they were coming in and cleaning up their mess lol... Bite slowed so moved to another area to let this one rest for a while not as many shad but did manage a nice 3 off this point... Moved back to 1st point and what a good move that was letting this spot rest I had 2 better than 5 and couple in 4 range and more 15 to 17 inchers that i lost count caught these fish in 8 feet of water on sexy shad billed version #5.. Caught in total maybe 40 bass today and I got tired I'm old lol plus i got a tinge of fisherman's elbow cause I been cranking so much all summer long...God gave me a good day today... God bless you all...JIGGY PS: When ya catching those strippers always remember to check yer line threw the only blue chrome sexy shad i had way up into woods off point because i didn't retie those lil strippers got extremely sharp gill plates [-X [-X

Gorgeous Pickeral. Great report!

What are the temps on the water there?
Similar to the air 70 (20C),thats only off the sounder but the way the fog is coming off the water in the mornings, she'll cool fast.
