for a transom style Electric trolling motor? The reason I ask is I HATE the foot controlled models (use to have a 55 lbs thrust on a 16 foot Mirror Craft I owned-what a pain! :x ). I thought about going the route of mounting a small piece of finished oak on top of the bow with a small piece of angle iron but, that still doesn't help with getting the motor back into the boat when it's time to fire up the big motor. I have a 36LB thrust transom style Minkota. any suggestions?
Thanks

They sell hand controlled bow mount trolling motors. Bill Dance has one on his boat.

Hey Thanks. I just looked them up on Cabelas. But do you know of any company that just sells the bracket? (expensive??)
Or is there anyway I could possibly make one? Wonder where I'd find a blueprint or design..... :?:

I clamped my transom mount TM to the bow of my boat and it works great and folds up out of the water for transport.
