Crestliner 2050 Sportfish Transom

Time to replace the transom in my Crestliner. Not to bad for 17 years. The 3 splash well scuppers are defiantly the weak link. Crestliner built it with 3 layers of 5/8 plywood stapled together. I am thinking of using the Coosa Blue water 26 board.

Yes sir. Ready for spring though. I think this is only the second day above freezing since Christmas. Those Lake Erie walleyes will be calling soon enough.

So I have decided to indeed go with the Coosa 26 board instead of wood. The question I have is with the scuppers in the splashwell. Is there something better than the plastic push together type ? My openings appear to be 2” diameter. Looks like the old scuppers may be 1-7/8” outside diameter. Transom is about 2-1/4” thick total.

Made some progress. Got the Coosa boards cut and g-flexed together. Used a 1 inch and a 3/4 blue water 26. I am no carpenter but the Coosa sure seems nice to work with.

Original wood from transom I removed weighs 86.6 pounds. Coosa boards I put together weighs 43.2 lbs. So some savings there.
