Fish Finder--Placement for sensor

This is what he sent me. The transducer is identical to mine, I'm running a lowrance mark 5x fish finder. I haven't purchased my new trolling motor yet tho.

Hockey puck style sux imo. Tabs break etc. Use one like the picture and mount in a transducer shield. Just how I would do it. I got a 2d and a lss1 ducer on my motor.

you know you can fix the puck style by using pvc to make new tabs I like the shield also had it on my hds5

ive never heard of a transducer shield? Im going to investigate this a bit. Any recommendations on one to buy?

I prefer this one over the armor. They are bout 40.00 at bass pro. The transsucer wedges into it with rubber blocks.
