Does any still subscribe to any fishing magazines? I have subscribed to In-Fisherman since the early 90s. I still enjoy it, but it is a shadow of it's former self.

No subscriptions in a long time, but In-Fisherman use to be my favorite. Filled with multi-species how-to. I still get emails to order a subscription. Bass Masters was probably my 2nd favorite. Sports Afield and Outdoor Life not enough fishing and few how-to articles.

I subscribe to Alberta Outdoors. The magazine covers fishing, hunting, trapping, hiking, camping, biking, survival and more all in the province of Alberta. Lots of tips and tricks and new product info.

I still look at Fish Sniffer. Way back when I used to subscribe. Now it is a free digital magazine. It covers regional fishing including places I like to go.

I subscribe to In-Fisherman (Love the 'Outdoors with Doc' segment lol) and Midwest Outdoors. Midwest Outdoors is nice cuz they have state-specific inserts that you can choose from.

I am currently subscribed to California Fly Fisher (for the past 7 years). New owners as of 2023/24....their first edition is pretty good IMO for CA stuff!

Previously subscribed to Southwest Fly Fishing, The Drake, and Fly Fish Journal.

I now focus on mags from my home state and what local CA info I can learn from them.

Preach brother! I was an avid InFisherman magazine(and books)in the early 90's. The scientific approach was a game changer that's for sure.

I had subscriptions to InFisherman and FlyFisherman, but I let them go.

I also killed all of my woodworking mag subscriptions, of which I had several.

In time, all of the mags, regardless of subject, became repetitive ad platforms for equipment I didn't want nor would every buy.

The only thing I get regularly now is BassPro sales flyers and catalogs. Even those go unread into the recycle bin.

I get info now from internet sources. YouTube a fair amount. But even a lot of the YT channels I used to frequent have turned into sales platforms for this bait company, that boat equipment company, the electronics firm over there...yadda...yadda...yadda.

Stopped getting magazines years back. Nothing but advertising, very few useful articles. Much more info on the net or on various forums such as this one.
