I had the same one many years back, my father had the same one as well...very popular back in the late fifties and early sixties !! You had to use your brain back then, they didn't talk to you like today's units.

I still prefer to use one on my boats, it is fail safe device that doesn't need electricity to work.

Even though I gave a nice GPS unit with mapping, I still use my air guide compass for general navigation....one never knows when your electronic gizmo stops working
