G ideas for back deck build

That's looking nice.I like it.Does the deck feel nice and strong with just 2 cross pieces?

Yes it's plenty strong, but I used 1x2. I think you will be happier if you save the 1x1 for another project & get some 1x2. The hinge really strengthens the deck on the seat side. I'm 225lbs and can stand about anywhere on the thing with 0 flex. If I stand on my toes out on the edge right by the transom, there is a little give. I'm going to weld some support pieces to the transom to take care of that. It's 8" from the beam to the unsupported edge there. I used 1/8" hinge & sheet for the deck.

OK 1x2 wood be better.I will have to buy some for this build in.
