Go trolling motor only?

I have a 36v garmin that pushes my 20ft center console almost 5mph. It runs a very long time even on agm batteries. I've used it for sun up to sun down bass fishing outings and still had 50% left. It can run on 24v as well I opted for 36v and figured it was get back to the dock insurance of I was ever miles downriver and the outboard failed.
