ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE AN OPINION OR A REVEIW FOR ANY OF THEM? IM GONNA BUY A NEW POWER DRIVE V2 AND AM GONNA GET 1 OF THE OPTIONS AND LEANING TOWARDS THE I PILOT. ANY OF YOUR 2 CENTS WORTH WOULD BE GREAT! THANKS....

with the co pilot you can also use your foot pedal with the i pilot you cant. We have an i pilot and i dont like it one bit because it gets in the way of fishing ( i bass fish) if im catfishing or not moving around as much its ok but for bass fishing and moving around alot its hard to use especially in the wind

you dont like the remote control?

shawnfish, I have the 55lb ipolit on a 1860 CC grizzley, love it I am not a bass fisherman and would not reccomend it if your running and gunning, deploying and stowing all day. I mostly troll for crappie and with the auto pilot I can set a course and just do minor adjustments as needed. It can also store 3 tracks up tp 2 miles long so to retrace a trolling run is all automatic. It also has a anchor function, push a button and it holds the boat in place. Its not perfect and a windy day will make you stay on the remote more.My unit does not have a foot pedal , remote only. I hang it around my neck and can drive from anywhere from the boat ( even from the boat ramp while launching, however i havent been brave enough to try that yet.) Im running a AGM battery from cabelas and have spent up to 8 hrs with only using 1/2 charge. Hope this helps.

thanks river(sweet name, its my sons) im not a runner and gunner and think im gonna pull the trigger on the i-pilot, like the spot lock feature so i dont have to anchor in shallow water and the record trolling track will be nice. why dont you advise for deploying and stowing all day?heavy? im pretty sure none of them come with a foot control but somebody correct me if im wrong. again thanks river.....

It deploys different than most trolloing motors. You have to lift it from the stow bracket and gently lower it into the water. Most motors have a hinged type arm to deploy. This motor also mounts differently, it needs to be mounted approx 6" over the edge of the boat so you can lift it and deploy straight down. I bought the minn kota removable bracket to easily remove from the boat for storage. The bracket also is set up for a pad lock while it is on the boat.Hope this helps. River...

Well I got the chance to use my I-Piolt on my 18' lund yesterday finnaly. I am a BASS FISHERMAN and found
it not bad at all. Nice thing is Im fishin a shoreline and I can just point it the right direction press the
N button on the remote and it keeps on the direction till I change it. Slowly working my way down and
if i wanted to stop press the prop button and she stops. I used anchor mode a couple of times when
I was changing baits or grabin a snack and It held me where I was. I do wish it had a FOOT control also
but I couldnt afford the Terrova version. I see they make a wireless remote foot and wonder
if it will work with this unit or not dont know for sure yet.

Overall Will take some gettin used to but I like the features it gives me. Im runnin the
12volt 55 also.

Its just so hard to fish and use the remote control expecially with the wind or current because you stay on the control all the time instead of fishing

DAVE, YOU CAN NOT GET WIRELESS FOOT CONTROL FOR POWERDRIVEV2. ITS ONLY ON THE TERROVA. I THINK IM GONNA GO THE TERROVA ROUTE AS I WOULD STILL WANT THE OPTION TO USE THE FOOT CONTROL

I have a 101 Terrova with AP and copilot. I have been debating on getting the I pilot but haven't yet. I fish rivers for bass and musky. I typically just point it upriver and allow the boat to slowly drift back down river. I love it and it has made fishing in heavy current and wind much more enjoyable. I use the foot pedal some, but mostly the left right steering buttons on hte back, not the big foot pedal. I have had mine 2.5 years and have beat it into rocks and ledges and busted two props and so far have not had any issues with it. Great motor.
