ok my boat handles r rusted out but what i was thinking of doing is geting 2 eye bolts and put little chain between the eye bolts but dont wont that to leak so if i put a rubber washer on inside and outside boat on the eye bolt well that work it be eye bolt metal washer rubber washer slide in to boat then rubber washer metal washer then net to tightin it up sorry so long thanks for any help

The boat handles should have been made from Aluminum just like the boat. If fact that they rusted out leads me to think they were replaced with steel ones. I would look on ebay for new Aluminum handles.

I would think the rubber would crack and give out before too long, the idea seems solid, I wonder if the chain would bounce on your boat and wear out the finish....... It wouldn't hurt mine but you might have a nicer boat.

Here is a pair of handles on amazon.com they are 10 bucks.. Thats what i would do if it were me.
