 7:30AM-1:30PM Calm then real windy, partly sunny turning overcast. 55-65 air temps, 64-65 water temps, heavily stained water. The action started almost immediately. Picked up a HUGE pickerel right away on a lipless crank. Then many small bass soon after on the same lure. The cold front was just arriving and the fish were very active. Got two more small bass on a Zoom brush hog. Still looking for some better quality bass. The pads had a ton of surface activity so I decided to attack it with a Panther Martin frog. I had many blowups and finally hooked into a decent 2lber with a packed/bulging belly. The front was working its way through as the winds really picked up. Went back to the SK redeye in search of the "PIG" but all I could muster was small fish and another pickerel. Finally I nailed another decent LM toward the end of the day. The final count...15 LM bass many in the 10"-12" range and 2 pickerel. Also lost about 4-5 fish on the redeye.
