The pedal on my minn kota electric bow mount is very hard to move, it's like it's stuck. What should i look for? I read somewhere that the scrwews can back out but i don't see where those would be located. thank you

It might be time for a new set of steering cables. I went through 2 sets on my 1995 minnkota. They got stiff and then they would break. Then you can't steer at all.

Those screws will be on the bottom of your foot control.

Try turning the actual motor by hand (direction not the prop) and see if it rotates OK. Look on the underside of the pedal and make sure the cables haven't jumped off a pulley.

cables look good on the underside and i can spin the top of the motor by hand easyily one way or the other. Are these pedals just really stiff? this is my first boat and trolling motor, it just seems wayyy to hard to move with the pedal

How can you spin the top of the motor? I need to know if you have a powerdrive or cable driven system?

Post a pic of said motor please.
