Need your help again. How does this work?

Again, have a 2005 1700 Lund Explorer.

I am trying to figure the livewells. Have one in front (2nd pic) and one in back.
Have just one livewells pump which only fills the back. I saw "holes" (last pic) in the bow which go directly into the livewells front.
The drain for front comes out at bottom
below the boat. The other drains out transom.
How does the front work without a pump?
Please let me know what you think

They're more than likely fed by the same pump. Could be that someone has disconnected the fill hose to use it as dry storage.

Thanks, there isn't a way to control the flow that I can see.

Is there no spray bar or nozzle in the front tank? It has to fill from somewhere. If someone removed it, there would be a hole in the tank somewhere.

Had to be a fill nozzle from the factory.

Some boats have a simple livewell, where you pull the bottom plug and water fills the livewell up to the water level, which usually isn't but 4-5", but it's enough to keep fish alive. Water goes in and out and they work surprisingly well.

Otherwise, it may be a non-powered livewell being used as storage. You can always plumb it and get it working again.

Figured it out. There was a nozzle tucked under the edge. Thanks for the help.
