New ( 2 me) 14' Mirrorcraft

Glad to find you folks. My B-I-Law in a moment of weakness gave me his 14'
Mirrorcraft w/trailer and 25HP Mariner (25 M - Yamaha 1986) runs great.
It needs some cosmetics and massive testing!

There is a brass plated on the outside upper right side of the transom.
I take it this is the id plate ? 12 digits MMR********* how does one decode this little devil?

I'd like to add a front control station at some point but the first thing needed
is a boat cover Any sources on the cover? Any particular folks to contact at
Mirrorcraft ?
