My son and I got out yesterday morning. Bright, sunny, & cold. Trolling shallow. Trout were exploding on the surface when they hit the lures - love it. Three in the box. Lost three right at the boat.

That looks like a once in a lifetime 2 minute fishing trip to me!

Believe it or not, when it is that cold out being in the water is warmer.

I'm gonna take your word for it. I did the whole polar bear plunge nonsense for charity once at deep creek lake. They had to chainsaw out a spot for us to do it through the ice. It was for a worthy cause and all but that was the only year I attended.

In the Army I did capsize drills in a rubber raft in the winter. Not fun at all.

From my son’s Florida trip, earlier this month. Some nice redfish and a grouper that almost ripped his arm off.

There's a 16' Bass Tracker V-16 under that old fart. My left hand is resting on the tiller. This is some of the "brush" we cut thru and into to fish oxbows on the lower Colorado River AZ. Fishin's good. Gettin' there not so much.
