yep now were cooking with gas, yep thats the problem. so how much do you think that would effect it. taking it to shop next week for rebuild

anouther question if i change manifold to 50hp and jet it wont that be the same as a 50 or am i missing something

More of a omc guy but pretty sure carbs and exhaust are diffrences between 40-50hp yamahas. So you'd need 50carbs and the 50hp exhaust.

well completed jack plate today burrrr to cold to be playing with boat but trying to get it finished before the good weather gets here. jack plate was simple and looks good used 3x2x1/4 alum angle all stainless hardware. will post pics tomm. worked till dark to get it all put back togather
