Got out on the water around 8 this morning, fished till 2pm.
Had the whole lake to myself, good thing too because I needed the whole lake to catch the 6 fish.
I couldn't get the fish to bite anything but plastic. They wouldn't even swat at top water or spinnerbaits.Crankbaits and xraps...never felt a tap.Took me 2 hours before I got my first bite,it was in 15 foot of water on a wacky rigged senko(black/blue flake).Couldn't tell at first but eneded up being a nice net fish...21inches little skinny though.
I pounded that area for another hour, with not a bite.I'm alittle confused, bass normally school especially this time of year.Had to use the rest of the lake to catch 5 other small fish, don't think any would of been keepers. It was blowing pretty good was having a hard time feeling the bait,I hate fishing plastics in the wind.It was so slow I thought there might have been a tournament there yesterday,I'll have to ask around.
