Got out on the water around 8 this morning, fished till 2pm.
Had the whole lake to myself, good thing too because I needed the whole lake to catch the 6 fish.
I couldn't get the fish to bite anything but plastic. They wouldn't even swat at top water or spinnerbaits.Crankbaits and xraps...never felt a tap.Took me 2 hours before I got my first bite,it was in 15 foot of water on a wacky rigged senko(black/blue flake).Couldn't tell at first but eneded up being a nice net fish...21inches little skinny though.20.09.09.jpg
I pounded that area for another hour, with not a bite.I'm alittle confused, bass normally school especially this time of year.Had to use the rest of the lake to catch 5 other small fish, don't think any would of been keepers. It was blowing pretty good was having a hard time feeling the bait,I hate fishing plastics in the wind.It was so slow I thought there might have been a tournament there yesterday,I'll have to ask around.

Nice job. Sounds alot like my trip. The fish there this time of year usually tear up the grub, but the water temps were 74, 10 degrees warmer than the smae time last year. They just want it slow slow slow. Even when the wind kicked up some they still didn't want that grub. Caught alot with that senko though, and that was a blast. You're right that 21 does look pretty skinny. Looks like a river fish.

Caught her at the mouth of a stream,I think she was the only big fish that was hungry that day.I asked around and there was no tournament the day before and I know there are some nice fish in that lake.
