trolling motor option

now I have a minkota transom mount , and I just got a motor guide bow mount given to me . bouth are 30lb thrust and 12v.
as for boat 10' by 36". my queston is wich one is better, and why , as for easy use and reviews if you own one.

on a 10 foot boat, i suggest the transom mount and keep things simple...you can pretty easily make a bracket on the bow and still use the transom mount up
front..

deploying/stowing the bow mount on a small boat is pretty cumbersome...

if you think the bow mount would be easier to use for YOU, try it. Maybe you can come up with a temporary but secure mount to try it out but hopefully not have too many holes or no holes in the bow if you don't like. I've never had a 10' boat, nor used a transom mount TM. Have read some comments indicating a bow mount TM makes it easier to control the boat but that's all I've ever used so cannot offer any comparison between the 2 styles.
