Last Fall I bought a used Discovery 14' aluminum V-hull with 9.9 outboard and 30# transom mount trolling motor. The TM seems underpowered for this boat and I'd like to upgrade.
I'd like to use the boat on some TM only lakes but don't know if I should get a bow or transom mount? Bow mount seems much better for fishing but driving the boat across the lake from the front just seems odd.
What do most people do? I'm new to all this and haven't had much opportunity to see other people's setups.
