Any suggestions for a beginner? I'm up to the 4th string on learning my notes. I'm having a hard time with cords though because of arthritis or just plain wore out fingers.

My son played guitar in the high school jazz band and in a heavy metal band during college and later years. He started out with private lessons at a local music store, twice a week, and really took off from there to studying theory, etc.
I can play a few chords and licks, but am nowhere near the same level as my son. The main thing is to have fun!
