1969 9.8 MERCURY

Hey fellas! Im kinda new to outboards and i have a 1969 9.8 Mercury and im getting ready to replace the impeller and install a carb kit. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you. Rebuilding a 1960 40hp Johnson and still pretty new to outboards. Is yours running?

Yes it does run. It does'nt pump water but it pumps lots of fuel out of the carb! haha

haha well that impeller and carb kit should be a good start. Good luck!
