Hello,
Have acquired the motor mentioned above. They're apparently rated at 30HP despite the name. They came with a long shaft. I'd like to modify it to better suit my transom. Has anyone got a lead on the parts to convert to short shaft? I basically got the motor for nothing, (with a helm to boot), so spending a bit to convert it is in the budget.

Try and find a short shaft motor for a donor.. they are pretty much the same from the late 70's up to the 90's. Power ranges from 20, 25, 30, and some 35's
Then you have 2 options.. swap the power head onto the donor, or take the mid section from the donor and swap it to your 28.
