Broken Transom Support Bracket

To make a long story short, I broke the aluminum bracket that was riveted to the floor of a 1989 Lowe Jumbo 14 aluminum boat. This is the ""I" shaped bracket that goes from the center of the boat to the transom for support. I was disassembling the transom and all brackets/shelves and support to replace the rotten transom wood. Is there a potential source for a replacement, or should I have one made or get the one that is broken in two (2) places welded? Here are two photos of the piece (mended with duct tape to show its true shape) Please let me know your thoughts.

Get it clean. Strip off the paint, remove any duct tape residue. Drop it off to a welding shop.

Myself, I would just get it welded.
