hello everyone,
i got a 9.5 motor .thats been a great motor until the other day ,man that baby was moving my 14ft. feather craft alumn.boat at about 14mph/gps,stoped and fished for about 2 hr,with trolling motor, then decided to move a little futher down the lake,it fired up fine, took off no power moved about 7mhp then just cut off, pulled the stater afew times, fired up and took off no power, and it cut off no water was comming out of the exhaust hole,so i limpet back with the trolling motor, got home check the thermostat,it looked bad like 2 pieces, well droped the l/u checked the water pump, and housing ,it looked fine, when looking at the impeller the shaft moved up like it was gonna comeout so i pushed it back down ,maybe another issue!dont really no.so done alot of research on tinboats,i poured water down the thermostat housing and water came out everywhere except the water tube at the bottom so is that normal? i can blow air up the tube, and put my hand on the housing barely feel any air coming threw the houseing,do ya think the water tube came lose from the motor?
thanks for any help in advance great site ,and im proud to be a member.this is my first post so i have about 20 more before i can get me a manaul, thanks :LOL2:
