Garman Plus 4 GPS/Depth finder transponder question.

Opinions please. Best place to mount a transponder. On the transom or the trolling motor which is mounted on the transom to?

If you mean the transducer, it's best to mount it on the transom so you can read the depth and temperature while using the outboard at speed. That is if you have an outboard. If it's on the trolling motor, and you raise the motor, it won't read the depth.
