hi every one i am new to the site but have been looking for a few days now and i must say that you guys are masters at what you do. I just got a 1972 14ft richline with a 9.9 chrysler i plan on putting some decks on it and redo it all but i have a few questions.

first what size and kind of plywood for the decks
i wold like to paint the boat becuss some of the rivets leak what kind of paint should i use

If the boat leaks you should paint the bottom with a product called steelflex. Alot of the guys have used this, and it seems to be great.
 
Hello Crappiekillers... welcome aboard... about your pywood decking question... If there is any way you can find some at a reasonable price, use Alum. sheathing for your deck.. I don't recall the thickness I used but it was close to 1/8th inch... I never have to wory about rot. the alum was in an 4'x 8'6" sheet and I got it through a steel fabricator... Actually got it out of his scrap bin because it had had a couple of pcs. cut from it.

thanks for all the input i am going to start next weeked. But i do have a few more questions, first what kind of liner do you guys put in your storage hatches. And i was thinking of making a livewell out of one of those storage bins that you put stuff away with in your garage or basement what do you think of that idea and and thank you guys for all the input it is really helping me.
