And you guys thought I just sit online 20 hours per day. :LOL2:

Took the family to the Cape this past weekend and decided that I needed to take a break form the family stuff. It was time to get my mojo back. My fishing has been less than stellar for the last few years.

I decided to go to the one place that never fails me, the place I go when I need to re-energize.

This weekend I was going to try 3 baits. JDBaits Fatboys, JDBaits Crinkle Cut worms, and a Mattlures Ultimate Blue Gill swimbait.

Needless to say, I chose the Crinkle cut worm as my starting point, and I never looked back. I never changed the bait. I caught over a dozen fish on just 2 single crinkle cut worms. The Fish were all over it! :fishing2:

The color I chose was Bubbas Dirty Watermelon. Good color Bubba!

The worms were destroyed by the end of the battle, but I found a way to make these baits last for multiple fish. \:D/

The numbers were there, the size was not. Biggest fish was around 2 pounds.

Nice job Jim, it is nice to see actually fishing. I have not tried the crinkle cut worms, but everything else I have from JD baits is awesome. I am in love with the fatboys

YES! Awesome job Jim -- if that is really you

2 things:

1 You are holding a fish?

and

2 You are getting very skinny

Now where is Jim?

Jim,

Don't tell me you can actually "leap" across your honey hole... :)

The water you see in the background is actually a spillway for the reservoir. "Spillway" might not be the correct term to use? The herring come up this way and go into the reservoir this way. Anyway that 8-9 foot across stream has lots of overhanging bushes and trees and the bass lie in wait for food.

Here is a map: look at the lower left hand corner.......
