Question about converting to open bow

I am sure in the past I have read something about this but I can't find it in a search. I am looking for a winter project and I found a 16' aluminum boat. I have not gone to look at it yet but in the picture it looks as if it is a closed bow boat. I am wondering if it is possible to remove the cover and put decking in its place. I did this successfully on a fiberglass boat once but don't know about this one. I attached a pic if it helps

IMO you should be fine to remove it. I fished out of a similar boat for YEARS growing up. My dad removed the bow, except a small portion for a bow mount trolling motor.

It 'may' add some support but your deck will also. I'm not that big a fan of the really tall decks though so if I did add a fishing deck it wouldn't be all the way to the top like the bow cover that is on there now.
