My first post, :LOL2:
I've already done a bit of work on the boat. I started with sanding and paint the interior of the hull. Originally it was a bad truck bed liner job in there that was nasty. I used a grey and blue rustoleum enamel paints and also did some work on the keel where it was leaking. Picked up a 55lb minn kota and 109 Ah battery (transom mount). I also picked up a mid 70's model Mecury 7.5 HP 2 stroke. I've already started collecting supplies to make a front casting deck out of the front two seats. I also just bought a micro 300 watt amp and marine speakers. I plan on installing them in the second seat. once the casting deck is in I'm going to swap the trolling motor to the front. I really love this site as its given me inspiration and ideas. Thanks and I'll post more pictures throughout the build. Thanks Andy

thanks guys,

Its been a fun project so far and I have great ambitions for this little boat. Thanks for the color scheme complement. I wanted to go with something that would be not too dark and not too light. grey and blue looks real clean and doesn't kill you're eyes. My next step is to mount the joist for the front deck. I expect Ill pop rivet then to joist holders to the aluminum and also throw a little jb weld on there for good measure. Thank you all for your great ideas and inspiration. Andy

Ps me and my brother hit the lake today and landed 3 bass. :)

Today I bought the ply wood and supplies. Also I'm working on making the template for the cuts. It's more difficult to do the angled sides then I thought. Coing along though.

Home Depot has the outdoor carpet for about $.49/sq.ft in their carpet department and they will cut any size/amount. Not a bad deal, and they got multiple colors and types.

Pumped another couple hours into it today. made some cuts. Need to figure out where I'm going to put the hatch and this weekend buy the carpet. The fish are out there waiting for me. I need to get this done quick. Full speed ahead!

Bought the wood sealer, carpet glue, carpet, and a fish finder. Tomorrow I'm going to finish the wood working and seal it. Then install the carpet , trolling motor, fish finder and sound system. I just had an idea to install the fish finder flush with the speakers. Should look good. So much to do.

Gotta love a 12 foot tinny!

Check out mine. Link is in my signature tag. Looks like a similar setup to where you're going....

Thanks guys, You're right. Dad's Buoy has the same shape for the front end. Nice build by the way. Looks awesome. My build is nothing fancy but will look pretty good and be fun to fish off of. Heres the pics. used piano hinge and just made two doors that open suicide. Gotta seal it up and then its carpet time. Thanks for the support!

Been hard at work on the boat. Mounted the sonar system, speakers and carpeted the front deck. To support the front deck I used joist hangers and pop riveted them to the middle seat. Work still to be done is mount the navigation lights, trolling motor, and docking lights. Still have to cut and carpet the rear deck. I'm going to paint the inside of the hatch doors and paint the benches grey like the rest of the boat. I included a pic of what the boat looked like to begin with. Its coming together nicely though. Andy

Looking good. I just finished the outside and starting on the inside. Are your piano hinges mounted on the top and covered with carpet?
