I tow a 14Ft 1960's Seaking with a 1989 Evinrude 15 HP Model E15ECEC with a 2007 Honda Element 4AWD, 2.4VTEC 4 Banger rated at 166HP. That is more than the 3.0 Ford Ranger Engine. No problems. I have the 8HP Nissan on here but just got back from the lake with the 15 today.
