Anyone spray painted over Rhino Liner? If so, I was wondering how it held up and any issues that arose (chipping, peeling, etc.) Any feedback is appreciated..

    Pacolet River, Sunday - 10/18/09

Ventured down to the River with my buddy Sunday for a little Bass fishing. Pretty coolish at about 7:30 am, as you can see by the garb. But, had a pretty decent 1/2 day with 5LM (2 dinks), 1 Spot and a 2 1/2lb. White Bass. All caught on Jig and Plastic with the exception of the White Bass which...

    Homemade Grillin' Beans my way..

Homemade Grillin’ Beans First off, this makes a BIG pot! You can cut the ingredients in half for a smaller pot, but I never do because we keep eating them until they are gone. They are just as good (if not better) the next day re-heated. These are awesome..... 1 lb. of thick sliced Bacon. 1...

    Pics from the river.

Went to our usual area on the river this past weekend for a little Bass fishing, and ended up having a pretty good day! Started out using soft plastics, but had little luck. Used Spinnerbaits with the same results as the plastic. Then started on Buzzbaits and that seemed to be the ticket! We...

    Santee, 4/10 - 4/12

Had the annual Santee trip with the gang (9 of us in all) this past weekend and thought I would post the results. Tally for the trip was 24 Blues, 2 Flatheads, and 1 Channel Cat. Smallest was 10lb., and the largest was 27.7 lbs. Had a great trip, and weather co- operated (for once  ). All...

    Lake Greenwood, 2/26

Headed out to Lake Greenwood in SC., to do a little Crappie fishing. Lots of fisherman on the water. I must have counted at least 25 boats in the area I was fishing. The bite was pretty slow, but I did manage to get a nice mess (15 kept, about 25 total) before I left at about 3 in the afternoon...

    Ten Commandments of fishing.

Have any of you heard this one....... 1) Thou shalt have no other sport before fishing. 2) Thou shalt boast proudly of thy catch. 3) Thou shalt exaggerate wildly about the one that got away. 4) Thou shalt not sleep past dawn. 5) Thou shalt clean thy own catch. 6) Thou shalt not give away...

    Jerk / twitch baits.

Might seem a redundant question, but I was wondering when people begin throwing these type baits in the various regions of all the site members. Me personally, I start about this time of year, especially when there has been an extended warm stretch of weather. So how about it fellas? Any...

    Lake Blalock 2/8/09.

Went down to the lake to try out the new spider rigging set up and I could get used to fishing like this! All I could muster were small crappie (handsize) so I returned about a dozen. Didn't keep any. All using Minnows as they would not touch a jig ( I threw the ranbow #-o ). I did manage to...

    Upgrades for Crappie.

First off, sorry for not posting in awhile......... due to an unfortunate turn of events due to the current economic events, I have had to take a brief hiatus. But things are looking up, and I was finally able to get back online (naturally one of the first places I logged onto was here, LOL)...

    12/5 & 12/6.

Went to the River for a few hours on Friday, and had another slow day, but managed a couple. The water was very dingy (borderline muddy) in a few places, but fishable. Had no luck on Jigs or Spinnerbaits, but did manage a couple on Finesse worms. Black and Redbug were what they bit. Total was 1...

    Another day on the river.

Headed out to the River the day after Thanksgiving, and fished for a few hours. Bite is still very slow. Threw Jig & Plastics, Spinnerbaits, Finesse worms, and few 10" worms, but the only fish came off Cranks. Hopefully we can get out of these everchanging Cold Fronts to help pick the bite up...

    Smokercraft.

Looking at an '09 1448 Flat bottom, no Livewell. Need any info anyone can provide on these boats. Its a Riveted jon, and I am familiar with riveted boats (both pro's and con's), but wanted any additional comments anyone has on Smokercraft products. Price seems about right in line....... Thanks...

    River Trip, 11/23.

Cold Morning on the river in upstate SC. Had to bust through a little ice in the creek at the put in site to get to the main river channel. 21 degrees at launch time, and warmed up to 49. Water temp was 55 and dingy, clear and minimal wind. I guess the fish were cold as well, because we had a...

    11/14 & 11/16.

Tried to do a little Smallmouth fishing on a river close to the NC/SC line this past friday. Me and my buddy walked the banks and fished mostly live large minnows and threw a few tubes. We just couldn't get a decent bite going, or they just weren't there. We did manage a couple small ones, but...
