Help with identify boat

I know it’s an Orlando clipper just Dnt know much else. It’s 14 ft long 4ft 9 inches wide. Serial is 2266 it’s fits 3 ppl it says and a 30 hp max motor any one able to help with year and model ? These are some pics. Yes looks bad was sitting in weeds for last 10 years

Sorry I can't help with the year/model. I'm glad to see you rescue this old boat from the weeds. I would imagine it would move along pretty well with a 30 HP.

Have you tried contacting Ohio dmv and searching the bow numbers? Don’t know what your title situation is.

if there are state numbers on it, then there is a title or registration on it.

Also, one cool thing I read was the Orlando Clippers were made using the aluminum from WWII Aircraft.

Ok, I don't know about Ohio's regulations, but here in Iowa, we don't have a "title" either. At least, not like a car title. What we're required to do, to use a watercraft on public waterways, is to register the boat with the local county recorder's office. That gives you a registration document and numbers to put on the bow for identification. (You do have to buy your own numbers.) The registration amounts to the equivalent of a title of ownership. We're required to renew every three years, assuming we still own the craft.

That alpha-numeric number on the bow should at least let you get some info as to year, make, and model of boat, assuming the recorder folks will tell you anything.

Do tread lightly, though. The last known, registered "owner" is still the owner of record, according to the county. If he's an unscrupulous person, he could claim it back, and you'd be out.
I got a heck of a deal on a boat once, but to make everything legal, I had to run documents through my local DNR, and they contacted the last owner of record. I did end up owning the boat, but they could have claimed it as stolen at some time in the past, and gotten it back, without recourse on my part.
