I'm looking for any info on a DIY type of adding a tunnel in the rear of a flatbottom in order to run shallow water with an outboard. I remember seeing info on the Web about a guy doing it but can't find my way back to it. I want to research the possibility of adding one to my boat listed in the Conversion forum under 2001 Voyager Modifications. My local lake is shallow and stumpy in areas.
Thanks, Lenny

If you check out the build in my sig my boat had a tunnel type hull on the back of it that i promptly cut out. If you do a mod like this to your boat i recommend not doing it like it was done on mine haha. For me it didn't help at all, didn't help the boat plane, couldn't really run any shallower caused all kinds of problems with the motor setup. It was just a pain but you can check it out on my build to see if it inspires you at all.
